Senior PPC Account Manager

This exciting role is to provide exceptional PPC analysis and strategy across a range of clients and industries. The Senior PPC Account Manager is expected to be a thought leader within this space, providing proactive and commercially viable recommendations for clients and Gravytrain.

You will be the first port of call for all PPC strategy and recommendations and will work alongside the Account Managers and Head of Department to make sure clients are delivered high quality, commercially viable solutions. This role needs to have a high level of understanding of the current industry trends. As well as being client facing, the Senior PPC Account Manager is expected to mentor and train other PPC team members and provide constructive peer review on tasks being completed. The responsibility of the quality of PPC performance lies within this role.

It is important for the person in this role to be organised, accurately logging their time, and being able to effectively distribute workload to more junior team members. This role is expected to advise on best PPC practices and draw on previous experience to make realistic and commercially viable solutions to problems. The Senior PPC Account Manager needs to have a high level of commercial awareness and excellent communication and project management skills.

Main Activities

Client Communication

  • Preparation and execution of client pitches, including strategic guidance, forecasting, pricing and planning of resources
  • Functioning as the active point of communication for clients and leading regular planning and progression meetings
  • Coordinating efficient and meaningful reporting for external and internal stakeholders
  • Proactively make recommendations to clients based on their business model and customer group
  • Confident in assessing and questioning processes and offer constructive feedback or improved solutions to issues highlighted

Team Management

  • Estimating and evaluating tasks, prioritising workload for more junior members of the team
  • Mentoring and leading the PPC team (2 direct reports)
  • Advising and instructing on PPC best practices across departments
  • Hands-on campaign set-up and management/optimisation
  • Ensuring that KPIs of campaigns are clarified, confirmed, aligned with client needs and are communicated within the team
  • Active inter-departmental collaboration with SEO and Web Development to guarantee we’re offering the best solution for our clients
  • Active support of the business development team by setting up meetings, pitches and calls
  • Participate in discovering new partnerships with suppliers and negotiate partnership agreements

Skills and Capabilities

  • Proven success record of running and optimising AdWords/ Bing campaigns
  • A solid understanding of all Paid Media
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent understanding of numerical, statistical, and big data analysis principals within a business environment
  • Advanced understanding (and qualifications) in industry-recognised digital marketing tools (e.g. Google AdWords, Google Analytics)
  • Experienced with attribution models and advanced tracking
  • Demonstrable experience running successful multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Highly analytical problem solving
  • Experience across a wide range of business models

Additional skills that are beneficial to this role include

  • Tableau
  • Proficiency in an additional language
  • Experienced utilising or creating PPC-based technology incl. AdWords Scripts
  • Experience within Paid Social
